Taushida village is one of the least developed communities in Region # 9. This is mainly due to its geographical location. It is located approximately 8 miles from Toka village and 20 miles from Karasabai in the lower ranges of the south Pakaraimas Mountains. Access by vehicle is almost impossible year round. The population of the village is approximately 270 persons. There are three satellites in the area that are in need of development. The village economic activity consists largely of cattle rearing and subsistence farming, some other livestock rearing occurs as well.
